This was a nice surprise to see on here. I've seen various Fly racing cars for sale, but never saw shots of their innards before. The blocks that look to be attachments for the motor pod to the chassis right next to the motor look a a bit odd. It looks like you could adjust the screws on both the pod and the chassis, so that makes me wonder why you'd want to do that?

Nice going, Rico. You might want to try this method for relocating the chassis. Its a veriation of something Mark taught us.

Fill the old hole in the post by gluing a solid rod of styrene in it- you may have to drill it out to get a good fit. Then glue a styrene tube on the post, telescoping the post inside the tube. Check to see if you have a good spot to drill the new hole with the post you have made, if not, telescope another tube to widen it even more. Drill the new hole in the post in the appropriate places, and you're all done.

As an avid Fly fan it really pains me to see how badly Fly seems to have lost the plot with this Corvette and the Williams that Harry reviewed. The old Flys had known small issues that were relatively easy to fix but at least the dimensions and appearance were up to snuff. On top of that the Racing Flys were superb.

Hugely disappointed to see this and in spite of my massive allegiance to Fly I will pass on these models.

I guess you all didn't see my review of this car from May 13th. I didn't go into as much detail but I did mention the mismatch of the wheelbase.

From the pictures provided, the wheels are not centered in their openings. :|
