Just watched the videos and a couple things strike me that will have me taking a second look at these!
One - I had never run / owned a Carrera F1 - only the Scalectric ones - and to say that the front ends are fragile would be to put it nicely! While the guide placement is a little unique - it looks like it makes for a NOTABLY sturdier front end!
Two - I can't get over how smooth those were in STOCK form with NO weight, etc! That in and of itself says a lot!

To what extent do you mean?

I sanded the wheels, installed PG tires and they are even smoother than faster than in the video.

You could add lead here and there as well. There is some room on the bottom or carefully inside.

Sounds good. I have no experience with little F1 cars.

Not my cup of tea for a modern series, but the cars are captured very well and look sharp. Nice review and nice to see the Young Man playing with Dad.

Great review Harry! Like DR these aren't my cup of tea but anything that furthers the hobby is a plus in my book.
One thing.....I'm waiting to see how you do the "toothpick trick" on those PGs to make them the P-Zeros :lol:

Great write up, I have been a fan of F-1 and have a bunch some Scally some Carrera a few SCX and a Hornaby I think.

Always liked how they ran on my Carrera track.
