Great review boss! You and I have had numerous discussions with each other about the value for your money with Carrera and you just cant say it enough. For the price and variety they are still the best thing going.

Well.... Ain't that just the prettiest little thing you ever did see? I might have to give myself one as a birthday present.

In one of the pics it looks like the trunk lid is a separate piece, and
if so, why would they do that? The hood I could sorta understand.

I stopped in to my local hobby shop today and this car jumped off of the shelf and in to my hands. It was sitting there next to the newer blue Shelby colors release, which was actually the one that I had liked better based off of photos, but this Universal Memories car won the beauty contest. After seeing that shine on the finish in person, there was no way that I could leave without picking it up.

The only downside to mine is that it was missing the right-side review mirror. The case was sealed, so it looks like that detail piece was simply missed during assembly. Luckily, Carrera supplies a pair of spares inside the case. So adding a mirror and gutting the insides in favor of an MT-1 is on the agenda for later tonight.

It really is a great looking car. The finish almost gives a mirrored look. It may be modeled after another slot car instead of a 1:1 auto, but hey, with a paintjob like this, who cares? :D
