Sources for windshield and headlight lenses - Strombecker's 1/32 vintage D-Type Jaguar? Tiny Motors is apparently shut down - anyone know of any other sources? Thanks.

EJ's Hobbies has some Strombecker parts, then there is always Ebay for a parts car.

Excellent "kitbashing" job, man -- that's usin' your racin' brain!
"Hot Rod" ingenuity lives on in the modeling community.
Love the D Jags, I've always felt they were one of the classic designs from the 1950's sports car scene.
Enjoy racin' those cats! -- Ernie

Have not tried this yet, but it's something that may work. Back in my model railroad days microscale made a liquid product to glaze windows. Not sure if it will work to fill a curved surface. You could alwaysfill the headlight area with putty, paint it and put decals / tape tp simulate the tapeapplied on full size cars.

Testors does a similar product (my bottle is several years old) and I've used it for attaching "pop bottle" glass/windshields and my recently aquired used Lola had a sliver of headlight lense missing which it filled very nicely. I used the same stuff (in layers) as headlights on a Strombecker D Jag body and while not ideal it definitely gives a decent alternative to no lenses at all.
Here it is on Testor's site:
http://www.testors.com/product/136938/8 ... ndow_MakerIt appears to be similar to good old Elmer's Glue All and Elmer's may even be an acceptable substitute. Hope this helps.

Was thinking along those lines. Option - I have one lense might make a mold from it with this platex stuff I have and try some copies. It wouldn't be clear. Would have to slap a tape looking decal on it. Be a while before I get there. If they come out ok I'll post "em.
