I bought some 1/24th scale parts that has 2 La Cocaracha's in it . The chassis' are mint but the bodies have been brush painted and the rear fenders trimmed but in a attractive manner .

I'd like to make 2 really nice runners out of them even though they are modified in the fender area . I know they are no collectable now but they would still be nice pieces if refitted .

How do I strip the paint off and not harm the body ?

Does anyone know where I can get the rear mag wheels recovered with new rubber ?

I'm hoping to resurrect them .

I had one of those when they first came out. Nice running cars. As for the paint removal, I have good luck with 91% alcohol. I use one of those disposable type plastic bowls with a lid filled with it and just sit the body in it for a while, checking every 15-20 minutes to see how it's working. Some paints come off real fast, and others slower, depends on the type of paint. As for the foam on the mags you can buy donuts from Parma and others and make your own. If you don't have a tire truer or trimmer you may be able to find someone in your area that will do it for you. Post some pictures when you get finished. :)
