Well, back home and decided to rip onto this Monte project. I am making quite a mess but having fun.

Plus staying COOL. Good Googly Moogly it's hot outside! And humid. Couple skeeters flew past me outside and they are so big they have ticks on them!

So inside is where I will stay.

The printer is running, and periodic forays to the garage for painting several completed bodies.

Hit the LHS quick, but too hot to drag the scoot out,
All the bodies are sitting, I’m sitting watching NHRA at mile high.

We had a few friends over for some track time on GMS, some stockers and then some VW busses. What a hoot!

Oh, and "skeeters" are mosquitos. Also called mos-ketes, in Cajun country. In Alaska, they have been known to carry away small children, saying, "Let's eat him here. The big guys will take him away from us at home."

Working on repairing/repainting a D124 Carrera safety car I got in a bundle purchase.
PSA: Never ever, ever, use superglue to reassemble a slot car after a repaint! He superglued everything on the car when reassembling it.

Working on a Ford Maverick T/A car. Keep a lookout in the scratchbuilds section.

I'm about a month into building the '70 Mercury Cyclone (as waay is), though moving very slowly. Have the main body fitted to the Pioneer chassis and all the bits ready to finish. Haven't decided if I should paint first or glue hood and rear valence on first and paint all at once.

Spent all day out on the deck trying to stay cool. Lot's of projects and not nearly enough energy.

Watched everything available related to the moon landing this past week, and now football season is about to get started. All NFL training camps will be underway by Friday. Telling myself I'll work on scenery for the road course while watching games.
