The Rambler American from that era was a car that smart parents wouldn't let their daughters go on dates in. The front seats laid down to the back seats to form a double bed. I knew a girl who had her parents' Rambler American on weekends, and she could choose any guy she wanted for a date. To drive-in movies, of course. Oh, Sharon, where are you now, old girl?
