132 scale 1955 Nomad completed

Hey fellow slotters
Just recently completed the second 55 chevy for my slotcar collection.
This was a Gunze Sangyo model of the Nomad I purchased.
The model was the best quality kit I have ever used.
I added 6 people inside and put chickens in the rear compartment.
The model chassis was strong enough for me to use a scx pro motor holder that I
cut and fit into place. This holder also allowed me to snap the Colgate 360 toothbrush motor
into place. The wheels are Carrera GTO (they are my favorite for my builds).
The guide is carrera evolution, which is not my favorite but is what i had in stock.
There is not much left to the guide after I got carried away cutting it down to allow the car to run
on my scalextric-scx track and the tight turns that the fat and long guide will not fit through.
A few more things still need to be sorted out but it's time to run it for a bit and tune as I use it.
Thanks
ecr
ps. thanks Kevin

I agree on these being great kits! Would love to see a larger pic if possible...chickens at this resolution are like specs...

That's great. I love the chickens. I should print the photo and show it to guys who complain about having to put drivers in. Six people and a flock of chickens. Got to be a record.

great build and even greater creativity

boyz in Dundee have never seen that many "chicks" in one place.

They want to cross the bridge in Detroit and visit Canada now!!!

Brilliant! I have recently taken delivery of one of these kits. But mine might be sitting on the shelf with the rest of them while I play catchup with everything else.

Really a great build! Love the passengers and the chickens too! I think you should build a clown car next...
