Likely, although Peter doesn't have a proper T59 spoke pattern. The wheel that comes with the kit may be an option, but will have to be turned to fit peter's hubs. We'll see how they look when we get to that stage.

Very Cool; I was wondering about the wheels myself. You know, your place is beginning to resemble a Canadian version of Jay Leno's garage!

I've seen "little blue Bugatti's" with what look like cast spoked aluminium wheels - which ones are those, then Peter?
This one's going to be another cracker, by the way.
David.

Types 35 through 47 appear to have had the cast spoke wheel, although many appear also to have had rudge(boranni) hubs and spokes. TheType 59 seems to be the first year that the large hub and distinctive wire spoke pattern appeared. Le Mans Miniatures did carry the latter for a while and PST tried to produce them, but they were simply too fine to reproduce to scale. So that leaves me with the typical rudge or French Superior wheel from PST to use. Certainly period correct and that's fine with me. The ones that come with the kit are a reasonable representation of the correct wheel, but too course to be believable.

I've got to admit, I don't have a clue when it comes to spoke patterns. They all look much the same to me, unless they are side by side. And even then I'd only be able to tell that they are different, but not why.
Your attention to detail is admirable.

The types 35 ,37 and 40 Grand Prix have the same body and frame. If you can find a type 35, you have the 37 externally,
the type 37 and 40 have four cylinder engines. The type 59 Grand Prix is a little different, but a type 37 could easily be
made from it. The type 35 A, 37 and 40s had wire wheels. Type 35 B and C as well as the 51 Grand Prix had the
centrifically cast magnesium wheels. The type 59 had a unique wire wheel design made by the Bugatti factory. The hub
was very large, and the outer spokes were radially laced. The brake drum on the mag wheels was integral with the wheel.
The wire wheel cars had aluminum drums with a steel ring shrunk inside and were bolted to the hubs.
