How much should I ask for 2006 Mustang GT mufflers?

Hello everyone. I plan to sell some mufflers here locally. I am not very good at coming up with what to ask myself so I figured I would ask some people who know more than me. The mufflers are used, they are 8 years old but have been in the garage for the last 2 years. They have 10,000 miles on them. We put a louder set on the car(2006 Mustang GT) and have no use for these. A set of new mufflers according to a local car part shop wants about 250 dollars for the left and right one total. How much do you guys think I should expect to get out of these? Thanks David

Anything that's been in my garage like that for 2 years I would throw in the dumpster! Maybe Craigslist for 'best offer'..

So your first post on a small forum for slotcar enthusiasts is "How much are my 8 year old used mufflers worth?"
That's pretty random :lol:

Basically they are give-aways.. you may find someone on Craigslist with a specific need like they are trying to sell thier modified car
and want to go back to stock because it's too loud or something like that.. but even then, $20 per muffler would be about it..

(I buy/sell/part a lot of Mustangs.. stock mufflers are pretty much scrap)

I could use just one muffler if they are knitted from wool. I don't any of that polyester stuff. What color are they? Winter's coming.

Being Mustang mufflers I would think you shouldn't have to pay anybody more than $10.00 per muffler to take them away. They might be worth that much as scrap.

Seriously, a used muffler? Probably not worth much, maybe $25.00 a muffler if you managed to find somebody on Craig's list that wanted them.

Thanks for all the opinions. As far as this being my first post it actually is not even though that is what it says. Here is the story on that. I created this profile a few years ago and had posted a few things. Well, one night I tried to log on and could not, probably my error typing in a wrong passcode or something like that. I tried to have them send me my passcode but could not get it and finally just got to where I was locked out completely. I tried to create a new profile and no matter what I tried nothing worked, so I gave up and went on to another slot car website which I do not like as much as this one. I was digging through some old papers and found a paper with a screen name and passcode to this site. So, I tried it and it worked so I am back in.

I live in Camp Dennison, Ohio about 18 miles from Cincinnati. I will work on some photos once I learn how to do it. I have a roughly 70 long Carrera track in my garage along with a small HO car and train track.
