Anybody having trouble uploading picts to Photobucket?
The last 3 days anything I try to upload gets to 90% then hangs there.
I haven't changed anything on my end......................

Last night I got error message after error message, then when I went to close it, there were 4 uploaded just fine. They had been there the whole time, loaded fine. So, I deleted 3 of them. Crazy. I do think they intentionally screw up the free site from time to time, especially when they pointlessly reformat the first page and the upload access.

Hey, it's free and it works, so who cares if it is slow. I have had that occurrence before, and I just went out of the program and then reloaded and it worked fine.

While we are on the Photobucket topic, however, please be aware that if you copy and paste a picture to some other place, and then later delete it from your bucket, it will also disappear from the other place.

Cheers,

You may actually be having problems because of your browser. My desktop computer uses Vista with Internet Explorer 9. Many websites no longer work properly or at all with older versions of IE. Because I still use Vista I cannot upgrade to IE 11. The guy at my local computer repair shop tells me that upgrading from Vista to Windows 10 is not likely to work. In any case Microsoft has dropped IE in favor of Edge. I have Windows 10 and Edge on my laptop computer. Since IE has now been replaced support for IE will not go on for a lot longer. If I go to a website that does not work with IE 9 I use Chrome, but now I am getting a message with Chrome that says that there will soon be no more updates for Vista. I guess I will have to take a look at Firefox, I am told that it works a lot like IE.
My desktop is getting on in years and has been in the shop a couple of times recently, so I plan on replacing it soon. I have never been in love with Vista, I wish that I could have stuck with XP, which always worked well for me, Vista was buggy right from the start. I had 7 on my laptop before I upgraded to 10 and I liked that. I have not used 10 very much because the laptop is mostly my track computer, but it has all of the software that I need to use it as a backup if the desktop goes down.

With respect to deleting pictures on Photobucket causing pictures in your posts to dissapear, it is not a bad idea to put all of the pictures that will be linked to BBs in their own album. That does two things, you will know that if you delete a picture from that album the picture in your post will go dead and also you will have less pictures to dig through if you want to post a picture in another place. I have a large number of slot related pictures on Photobucket, digging through those became a pain, so now I have an Excel spreadsheet that includes links to the pictures and includes the image codes.

I have the same issue as "waaytoomuchintothis"
My uploads go to 90% then stop. If I refresh my browser SOMETIMES the photo appears like magic.
I too am using IE with windows8.
I sent emails to photobucket tech & they responded they had fixed the problem.
(Not so much)

Another issue that I have recently found with Photobucket is that there is now a large amount of advertising that wants to open up when you use it. Some of the advertising wants to take a long time to load and really bogs things down. If you are uploading a picture you will be stuck with the advertising, but if you just need to get a link to a picture that is already in your albums you can avoid the problem by having a list of the links. I just broke down and paid to have the ads removed, that costs $10 a year.
