There are so many of us because we are a bunch of old farts playing with toys.

I had the ablation as well and it worked for a bit over a year, then I got the flu and the A-Fib came back.

Now I am on blood thinners and not worrying about the rhythm.

I think I've just gotten used to it. I may have had a bit more energy during the year it was ticking properly, but I didn't really notice. I'm not very energetic at the best of times anyway.

You'll get used to it too if it becomes a chronic thing.

Cheers,

Keith

I'm glad to hear you're doing better. For a moment there I thought I was going to have to get Dora the Explorer to get out her map and find you.

Whenever I had an episode, it clobbered me, without exception. I can remember being exhausted by standing up. Several times, I couldn't get back in the house from doing something on the patio. Had to stop and rest against something along the way.

Glad you are feeling better and doing well. I don't have A-Fib, but I have SVTs, so I can relate to getting pretty tuckered when the ticker isn't all working together. My Father had A-Fib after his bypass, and he had several problems with it. He had to be converted a few times. Be vigilant for the side effects of the meds. Some of them can hit pretty quickly and be fatal. Don't be afraid to ask your Doctor if any of the meds are being prescribed off label. Also see if any have "Box warnings".

I'm not trying to rain on your parade, but I lost my Father to a fatal side effect of Amiodarone. (A.K.A. Pacerone, Corderone) If that is one of your medications, keep a very close eye on things and at the first sign of any respiratory issue, even a slight feeling of a cold coming on, run to the Doctor and get things checked out. My Father came in from stacking firewood, said, "I think I'm going to get a cold." and seven weeks later he was gone. (Last three spent in ICU on full life support) Some medications can do a lot of good, but they can bite you in the back bumper pretty quickly too.

Again, I am glad to see you back, and I don't want to shake you up I just didn't want to hear bad news someday and think, "I should have said something."

Okay... back to slot cars!
