All I know is, one day when I was 57 or 58, my youngest son came through the room behind my chair, and started FEELING of my bald spot. I wasn't even aware that I had a bald spot. I looked, and discovered that someone must have snuck up on me and initiated me into a monastery. I had a circle like Friar Tuck. Of course, these days, I get sunburn all over the top of my head when I mow the yard. And a growing collection of baseball caps... Do they make a combination sunscreen and greasy kid stuff?

It's coming hard here, massive front to the North of us that skirted St. Louie...and a big boomer knocking on our front door.

Hope all of you in this mess stay safe. OK is getting beaten badly again. I-40 and I-35 shut down from what I just heard on TWC.

That stuff is headin' our way. Should be here tomorrow sometime. Not looking forward to that. I hate bad weather. Regular old thunder bumpers I don't mind, but the severe stuff can take a walk. :)

Wow. I can't believe folks are getting hammered like this. Here we're worried about dryness and fires and the moisture and other types of insanity are everywhere else.

It's been chuckin' it down this morning. My backyard looks like a lake. I won't be mowing today. :lol: I can handle the rain, we just don't need the bad stuff. :)

Thunderbumpers all night long and coming in to Ft Wayne this AM for work (about 0445) from the North, I 69 South was closed and I had to make several "high water" detours as I came across town. Clear right now (1020) but there is apparently more rolling this way :shifty:

It seems to have made it across the mountains and we're getting some much needed rain. Later tonight we will have a big storm they say. I haven't heard about any of the nastiness at this point.

No windstorm here yet. Its still raining, but its a good rain, gentle and the lightning has been miles away. I think it has been so gentle, my garden seeds may not have washed out. The corn is up, and most of the peas, but the leeks, scallions, onions, and lettuces are tiny seeds and were just planted before this. There's still plenty of time if they are washed out.
