Opinions of the new Jaguar F-Type?

There's a reason you're my favorite, kiddo. Tailfins... yep, that makes me happy. We had a '57 4-door Chevy Bel Air dresser and a '59 Catalina in my family, and I had uncles with '59 and '60 Buicks, a cousin with a '58 Cadillac, and a neighbor with a '59 DeSoto. I come from tailfins!

We're in the second decade of the 21st century so I think the car fits its time. I am not that much into the modern stuff but it wasn't designed for people like me. This one will go to upwardly mobile Gen Xers and this is a fitting ride for them. The millennials will look back at this one as one of their classics.

I've owned several E-types so I fit in with that group. Presently have a Jensen Healey (people mistake it for a Jag all the time I think because of the J badge on the side) and a 77 Alfa Spyder. If I can't have the Aston Martin Convertible I want this one!

Personal opinion this is one great looking car in person. Really stands out on the street. See it from a block away and you know it's something different.

I think the F-type like the new Camaro is a decent looking car on it's own but doesn't carry on the tradition of it's predecessors. Instead of saying on first impression "wow, look at that new Jag" you might say "what's that new car?".
