Man, that was a loud engine. That airplane was an engine with a plane stuck on the back, and a windmill on the front. Not very forgiving, either. There was a guy in Florida with a plane called "Angel of Okinawa", and he toured with airshows and special events for years and years. He talked to us about it is to fly it. He isn't flying anymore, so maybe there was some little error it didn't forgive? I haven't seen anything about him close to 20 years.

You know I'll see it. With Corsair, a GeeBee, and so many other planes I love, I couldn't stay away!

Yeah, one of my favorites! That and the P-38 Lightening ('The fork-tailed Devil").
