A few years back I was stationed at Mildenhall RAFB UK. The USO club there had a trip to a local race track so I went. The problem is that I can't remember the name of the track. One of the interesting points was there was this one driver that had an ford Escort that he was racing against the Cooper Minis. It wasn't much of a race since he had a slight advantage, namely a 302 V8. It was still an interesting race though to see how many times he could lap the rest of the field. Now I see why there is so much interest in the Capris now. Would anybody happen to know what that race track was? It was a road course from what little I remember. The race I attended there was back in June of 1972. To bad I didn't realize how the slotcar scene was over there for I might have gotten some slotcars back then also.
