Logo design - Barter work

Postby Ember » Sat Jun 28, 2014 7:53 pm

I'm trying to start up a new business and need a logo design. Graphics and design is usually my thing, but I'm currently so busy dealing with a million other issues that I'm having a bit of difficulty with this one. I've an idea that I can't budge but I'm struggling to find the time to prise it from my mind into a more useful form, and I've a blank on other ideas.

Is there a graphic designer here who would be willing to help? I'm afraid payment would necessarily be in the form of barter as every obstacle the Council is putting in my way is diminishing my capital.

I have Photoshop, just an old version. I am not that talented though. You can PM me your ideas and I'll try. But I think there are a couple other folks here that are much better. Thompson is one heck of a talent in this area.

Hahahaha.... Audi I might be able to live with. Porsche might be stretching a friendship.

Due to the number of ways I'll be wanting to use it (ie. on scale cars and on the side of a building) vector graphics is the preference.

I can help you out, easy. Just PM me what you would like, or we can hook up via skype. I have a really large client and in the middle of finishing the summer fall Rovers Magazine design, but will get you scheduled in.

Take a peek over on my website and the lower right corner is my Flickr portfolio album which includes some, but not all work over 20+year span. Includes logo designs for accounting agency, bicycle racing, Porsche club, Vermont SportsCar rallying (yes, the race shop that builds the Subaru USA rallye team cars), some limited printed illustrations of John Buffum (signed) and all my Audi Club designs. Yes, you'll be happy to know I drive an Audi S6 Avant 4.2 litre V8 340hp beast and MINI Cooper S R53. Someday I'll own another Porsche 911 RS replica :o

Yeah, I know all too well about the time zone difference down under. My dad lived in Queensland for four years and always wanted me to ship him stuff. We will get it sorted and I'll try my best to design a logo you are happy with.

Thanks Thompson. Now on to the next battle.

Council are insisting that the front of the building needs to be completely rebuilt to allow wheelchair access. Not good. I mean, yes, I agree with the need for all abilities access. But that's big enough to kill the project. Many of the old shops/buildings in town have steps up to the front door.
