We have lost a good man in Afghanistan again.
Please keep his family in your prayers.
His son is an Artillery 2LT at Fort Sill.

The sad part is the politicians are now becoming the folks making the decisions in this war. Kind of reminds you of a small country in Southeast Asia?

From what I have read and watched on the available media, the gunman that shot Major General Greene was a "plant" of the Taliban. (you don't suppose it was one of those 5 released from Gitmo?)

It is a sorry state of affairs that our leaders have put our military in.

Major General Greene was a good man.

This is extremely sad and it comes at a time that every time I hear "Taliban", "Kabul", etc my heart jumps to my throat...(Ranger Stepson is on his 4th deployment).
The leaders have truly sold the military "down the river" (again)...the only comfort I can draw is that General Greene took the same oath I and every other military man did and he knew the risks involved.
My thoughts go out to his family.
