Bug Eggs?

Ever see eggs on a leaf like this? One of my kids just brought this in and asked me what it was...

Those are oak galls. Normally they are on the branches by the leaves depending on what type of oak you have. My oaks were loaded with them this summer, but they have all fallen off. If they all off the tree will usually live to releaf the following spring, if not the tree could possibly die. :)
