Car Books That Started It All (for some of us)

I see bibbster beat me to it. Yep those are the books. After I posted that I did an internet search and found this.

Mine weren't really books, but magazines such as CarToons, Car Model, Model Car Science, Hot Rod, Car Craft, Motor Trend, and Car & Driver. Car Model and Model Car Science were also into slot cars, so there was articles on both models and slot cars, even Hot Rod and Car Craft had slot cars in them. :)

I grew up reading Hot Rod & Car Craft magazines but also an Australian magazine that was a favourite of mine was Racing Car News which instead of photos on the front cover used to have illustrations of race cars from all around the globe

I rediscovered this classic book in my storage GRAND PRIX de MONACO. Lots of pics and great reading ---- I could spend hours reading this incredible book!

For me it started with Hot, Car Craft and Rod and Custom, along with a myriad of picture books. But
as a racer the book that had the biggest effect on me was "All But My Life" by Stirling Moss.
