Looks great! I'll bet mitering all three dimensions of the upper corners was fun. The outcome looks like fancy custom moulding. I especially like the well up top for the current playlist. Good design.
Will the new amp/receiver have the same dimensions?
My friend, some 30 years ago, was an avid collector of British New Wave/Punk/alternative stuff, especially Ska and Boot Dance. I heard the Clash for the first time in his apartment, on a badly made 9 inch disk around 1977. He had hundreds of LPs, and he kept them in milk delivery crates on the floor, filling a whole room. The overflow from there was in another room, and they were all oddball sized stuff, from 45rpm to those British 9 inch disks and bootleg tapes from performances. I think he may have lost them all in Hurricane Katrina and Rita that followed soon after. He didn't have much time to evacuate because as a doctor, he couldn't get home from the hospital ER to pack up. He got home many days after the storm. I'm sure some of his stuff would have been considered historic.
I looked at the old circus records and remembered that there are no labels. They were private recordings that were sold to small outfits to play on the public address system so they could have the same music as the big ones with their own orchestras. They just look like any vinyl, except they are thicker and only recorded on one side. Just plain white slips with unlabelled LPs.
