Well "Gawsh"! It sure sounds like I've been missed in action.

The rehab has started. I've already done 25 repetitions of finger squeezing the trigger on my controller. It was a start, but it must be done.

Building has been tabled for some time by my medical team. It was quite interesting explaining what I do as my passion, but they got an earful and some insight to my thinking. No, they did not call for a psyche consult. Hey when the cardio dude saw all the little interworkings of my latest thought process, he was both impressed an d intrigued.

My time online is going to be limited as the rehab folks are a bit intrusive :angry-tappingfoot:

But that might provide some shirt shopping time!

Keep working that pointer finger. That's the most important thing to focus on during your rehab. Flexing, stretching, walking, all of that stuff is incidental. :)

Well it's been 6 plus weeks since my surgery. Most of me is doing fine, just some nagging little pains.

When I met with my surgeon after the surgery, he explained they put you in a very awkward position so they have clear access to the parts they need to work on during surgery. You will have some nagging arm pain for a couple of months after surgery. A truer statement was never said.

My appointment with the surgeon was on January 8th and he cleared me to resume normal activites AS LONG AS I ADHER TO MY RESTRICTIONS. I am not allowed to lift anything heavier than 5 pounds. I am not allowed to reach out and pick anything up, nor am I allowed to raise my arms above my head. I have to sit in the back seat of the car since I'm not allowed to wear a seat belt nor be in a position where an air bag has access to me.

Prior to my surgery, I had scheduled a "mini-enduro" at our club. The date was this past Saturday evening. I made the race and had a great time. The racing action was close and there were lots of good drivers there. I totally enjoyed myself. It just felt so good to get a controller in my hand again and race those little toy cars that we all hold so near and dear to us.

Thanks for all the support, prayers, phone calls, emails, PM and such. I'm looking to be here for many more moons to come.

I wondered what ever happened to phase two of the Marty remodel. How are the chances on the release for surgery being any time soon?

Good to see you healing well. If you can run little cars you're on your way. I'm having shoulder problems now, torn rotator cuff, and it's not pleasant at all. Hopefully it will heal by itself, but it will be a slow process. :)
