Workbench hygiene

Up until Christmas time I had a fairly large home office with 2 work desks.. But that changed when
we gave that room to one of our boys and I moved down the hall to this small 9 x 13 spare room.

I built this L shaped desk and even though the 'hobby' side is smaller than what I had, it works out just fine.

I have to admit mine looks much more like shotgun daves. I have more projects that I have forgotten and lost in the workspace then those that I have completed. I found 3 NASCAR truck resin bodies the other day that I completely forgot I bought last year to make into runners. I have a half a dozen projects sitting on the bench that still need to be completed.

Here's mine. It's not normally this neat.

My biggest problem is that my narrow desk is in front of a big window. Great for light. But not so good for places to put stuff.

I really need to sort mine out again. Then of course I can't find things afterwards. I'd love to be able to finish one thing before I have to start the next. Currently got car building and head painting on the go at once in the one wee space. I wish I was disciplined enough to be organized.

Ha! I'm not going to waste valuable time cleaning up that can be better spent building slot cars.
