My slot friends are as weird as all the rest of them mentioned here already. Most of my life I've been a model builder, model railroader, etc. Those all have the same appearance to "the outside world" of men and women playing with toys. Well I enjoy playing with toys, it keeps me young and if people think I'm strange I point out it's no stranger than chasing hard boiled eggs around a pasture, trying to knock them into gopher holes with sticks ill suited to that purpose (nothing against golf; lots of skill involved, just showing the "point of view"). I will never belittle someone's pastime passion.....used to have a friend (male) that was into miniatures...most of the folks he worked with made fun of him for playing with dollhouses yet were amazed by the attention to detail in his work.
In my case, I'm a gearhead without the budget to continue my passion so I build small versions of the cars I would love to own, have owned or wished I had bought when I had the chance.
Bottom line, I'll keep playing until physical restriction prevents it and will value all the friends (many unmet) it has brought me.
