The sun is out, it is 15C and the local ski hills have given up for the season. It snowed once here this winter, overnight, and I didn't even drive in it. My Jeep Grand Cherokee has had snow tires on all "winter" for nothing. And I live in "The Great White North, eh?".
Enjoy the snow, Harry, you could be in New England and having to tunnel into your houses.

Ended up with about 9" overall out here in Colorado. I played with my Jeep all morning. Good thing I keep recovery gear in it to help others -there were a number of folks going way too fast that inadvertently ended up off-roading.
The funniest thing I saw (sad actually) was a late 80's IROC Z-28 buried under about two feet of snow on the side of the highway. They obviously had to leave it and the plows then came by. The good news is that he parked it off the shoulder so he didn't get hit.

Years ago, visiting in Chicago, I saw a car that was hit by the plows because the driver left the car at the curb on the wrong day (they had an alternating schedule for the plow days). It was a mess. Those plows in those days were dump trucks that were more or less unstoppable, just crawling along, making a six foot wide ridge on the sidewalk. I saw lots of cars that were invisible in drifts that year.

Sunny and mild here in California's drought stricken Central Valley. I have come to find the weather here (unlike Vancouver BC where I grew up) follows a basic pattern: Tomorrow's weather will be like today but just a little bit different.

Ah, drove through a blizzard on the way home. I didn't have to recover anyone though - the towing companies are doing that at this time. The IROC was getting hauled out by a wrecker with the following painted on the back: "We have the best hookers in the business!" That was hysterical.

Six inches and counting... We went from tiny little powder to puffballs about 5pm, the time when we were supposed to begin snowing. All told, we have been snowing for six and a half hours, but the depth is all in the last two. The next wave is supposed to hit us around 11pm and go all night, breaking at 8am. Does that sound like the pattern you guys saw as it came toward the east? If we get 8 or more inches, we're socked in around here until it clears. This one by itself could give us 15 inches.
We got down to 7 degrees F last night, and never got above 20 all day.

Bad weather vehicle for hire! There is no chance for snow here at all, we get a few ice storms this time of year, but even that is rare, I can get through just about everything, including Georgia swamps!
