Vintage Trans-Am Drawings for the RMS Skunkworks

I thought a few T-A fans here might enjoy these -

A few weeks ago while looking for vintage T-A posters, I stumbled across four vintage and very cool drawings on eBay. They were all separate auctions and I won them all. The seller was clearing out some old stuff and didn't want to toss them. Thankfully he didn't as these are gorgeous!!!

They are 11x14" each and signed H. Godfredson and are copyrighted 1970. After playing with Google I found a Hank Godfredson in MN that raced a bunch of different sports cars and seemed to be associated with a Porsche parts place called GT-Racing in Colorado Springs! Too small a world...

I was able to email Joel Godfredson, Hank's son. He's very nice and I had to explain I was just trying to chase down who the artist was. He was happy to see his dad's artwork still out there. He now owns the business his dad started.

A member on the Facebook T-A page said these were advertised in the back of Autoweek magazine in 1970 and are very hard to find. I'm THRILLED a and honored to have them

Mystery solved - it was on to the framing!

They are awesome David. When you posted them on the TA page I grabbed them and cropped them. They are my slideshow screensaver now. It's great that you found out a bit more about them too.

What a Great Find! They have almost a Vintage Hot Wheels Sizzlers "Box Art" look to them. Ken Dallison artwork comes to mind too. I'm insanely jealous of them all framed up. How 'bout more pics of the Bat, er, I mean Man-Cave. (I'm not sure if the emoticon will work as I almost never post anything. I'm more of a Lurker, I guess.

Glad you all like them. I really love them. The black wall really does set them off.

They do look like the Sizzler art now that you mention it!
