Harry,
It sounds like you are ready for another Florida vacation to come get your toes back in the sand at the beach. I cant find that picture but I'm sure it would warm you up! Its white stuff but the warm kind!

I just saw something I haven't seen before. Right in the middle of a heavy rain, we got about an hour of nothing but sleet. A lot of sleet, close to 1/2 inch on the deck, and as fast as it happened, it went back to rain. The sleet didn't melt. Its making a gravely surfaced sheet of ice, and its building. It seems the sleet helped freeze the rain that had fallen, and now new freezing rain is solidifying the whole mess. I don't think it will last long, but sure is funny looking.

Palm trees? We got palm trees here in Connecticut! These are about ten miles from where I live, I understand that they are taken in for the winter. It was 3 degrees here when I got up.

When I bought this place, under all this ice and snow, there was a banana tree in the yard. These people had been growing it each summer and taking it in each winter for years. The neighbors said it never bore fruit that they saw. I thought it was a pretty strange hobby.
