One of the guys here bought a system for his home track. Not sure how long ago, but I installed the hardware and wired it last week. He is doing the programming and setup. Bottom line is that I emailed support over a week ago and he has called them twice and there has been no response at all. Has anybody had any luck with support?

When you hit the master track call button, the screen and track go live. When you hit the button again and should be turning the program and track on, it goes off. I have not checked out wiring on the track call button. I realized I may have crossed the wires going to the button. I don't think that could make a difference, other than checking that, I'm pretty sure everything else is right.
As to the programming, I have noidea and the owner was wanting to get help on the phone while the track and computer are on. So far he has not been successful getting an answer on the phone.

http://www.trackmateracing.com/manuals/ ... er-manual/Not sure if this is helpful .
The other issue could be in regard to the settings and relay type chosen.
Daniel could be away on holiday I suppose.
I have never had an issue with his support so I hope you hear from him soon.

I went thru the online support,m but didn't see anything that points to me wiring it wrong. The owner will have to work out some kind of physical support, I think!

The track call button should be wired normally open. You can't start a race or practice using the track call button, that can only be used to start or stop a pause (yellow flag). Once you hit Start track power should be on. You can wire the track power relay either normally open or normally closed. If power is on before you hit start you will have to go into Settings, Installation Settings, then Hardware. Under Relay if Normally Open Contacts does not work properly switch to Normally Closed Contacts. You will also have to select the right sensor type on that menu. The computer may not be seeing the interface unit, in that case hit Auto Set Com Port. Most of the time that will work, sometimes you will have to determine which port the unit is connected to and select it manually. If you don't know which port is witch you can go into your Start menu, then Hardware and Sound, then Device Manager or Devices and Printers. I have the older version of Trackmate that has a serial output, so I use a serial to USB adapter and my computer sees the adapter on Com 3.

Got a call this morning that my buddies neighbor (works as a computer it guy) came over last nite to see if he could get the software port settings and stuff right. Evidently that's where the problem was as he says it now works and he only needs to figure out how to get it working for 6 lanes instead of 4, and how to set up the racing schedule.
Way over my head. I have to spend lots of time learning this type of stuff, it's not an easy thing! He wants to give me his DS300 setup and I will take it, but I hate to think about learning how to use it and what all it can do! I'd much rather be putting down track, building a car or something!!!

Buried in the software there is an instruction manual. You can create a desktop shortcut to that. Go to Program files(X86), then scltimer753 (753 is the latest version, yours could be a lower number), then SCLtimer. If you click on SCLtimer the manual will open up provided that your computer has an internet connection. I also have a PDF version of that, PM me with your e-mail address and I can send it to you, it may also be available on the Trackmate site. Also on the site are a few more things that were left off of the manual.
If you go back to Settings, Installation settings, then Track you can change the number of lanes to 6 and assign colors to the lanes. Black is not a color choice, you can pick grey instead.
