Buddy Baker, RIP

Buddy Baker, the "Gentle Giant", died from lung cancer today. He was 74. Baker was named as one of the top 50 drivers ever to compete in NASCAR.

Yes sad news. Quite a legend. When I think of him, I think of this ride.

It's one Carrera should do if they ever return to these molds.

He was also the first driver reach a speed of 200 mph on a NASCAR track.

Always like him and to be the first to break 200mph on a closed course just seems fitting!

Strangely, my post from yesterday evening disappeared. All I said was that the Bakers (daddy Buck and son Buddy) were from my old days with NASCAR fandom. I've yelled at a TV screen many times with those guys.
