Drove my kids and dog up to Canada to check in on my folks. While I did not get a chance to drop my Luf's for some 1/32 racing (next time hopefully!), I did take the dog on walks and discovered some hidden gems:

Northern California:

This has got to be my fave - a 1970 Chrysler 300. I love all cars that have solid-width-of-the-car taillights:

Check out the rear wheels...can you say sleeper?

It was a fun trip. Like the movie, Smokey and the Bandit, it's 900 miles each way. Which I do, stopping only for gas. Fun times!!

I love those big ole Chryslers, appropriate being parked next to a boat...

WIth that Chrysler, I would pull a fast n loud treatment: clear coat the patina finish but put some very nice wheels (15-16 inch) and drop a crate motor and have fun! And yeah, that Cutlass is something else. So nice.

That was the only year I can think of right offhand, where the best looking luxury car made by Mopar wasn't the Imperial LeBaron. In 1970 the Imperials were butt-ugly and the New Yorkers, Newports, and especially the 300 were all gorgeous. Did you ever see the 1970 Chryler 300 convertible? Exquisite.
