IT'S CHRISTMAS, RIGHT?

... 'cause when I woke up on Long Island this morning and looked out the window it was overcast with heavy fog and temps in the 60's. Thought I may have been back on an August morning in Monterey, California. When I visited there for the first time, I awoke to the same weather conditions, and thought my expensive trip to Laguna Seca for the Historic Races was going to be a rain out! I was advised that every morning starts out like that, and not to worry - I would be having a great day! Turns out the same for today, I'm at home visiting with family and friends on Christmas, and everything will turn out just fine. It is my sincere hope that all of our friends and their families here at Home Racing World will have the same for themselves, too - regardless of the local weather or were they may be around the world. And, of course - a VERY special Christmas wish to our good friend Harry and his family for providing us all with such a great place to get together, share, and have so much fun with our favorite hobby!
A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone and their families... ENJOY!! -- Ernie :>)

Yep, it's Christmas despite temps in the high 40's way up here in Maine. I actually spray painted my Showdown car body on the porch yesterday.
Merry Christmas Ernie, and to everyone else at HRW. I spend more time on this site than just about anything - okay watching sports would come first, but I check in here at halftime.
I might still be racing slot cars without HRW and all the folks here to share it with, but I wouldn't be having nearly as much fun.

Yep, it's Christmas. For the past two weeks the weather network has been teasing us here in the Vancouver area with forecasts of snow all this week and sub zero Celsius temps to keep it here. As Christmas got closer, the days with snow in their forecast turned to rain, with snow to start in a day or two.
So, here is Christmas. Not a flake of snow to be seen yet, unless you are on the mountains skiing. Luckily for our local resorts, over 200 cm of the white stuff has them open and booming, but down in the city we had a beautiful sunny dry day, and people were golfing. Now there is no snow at all on the 14 day forecast. Weather forecasters are such teasers.
It was a great Christmas all the same, hope yours was too,
Keith

We got about 3 inches over Christmas Day. Made for a fun drive home from my sister's house last night. Looks great though!
