I got invited to the 2016 Chili Bowl Nationals, I get to go to the Qualifying Night 1, this Tuesday. I am taking my 13 yr old boy and my 4 yr old grandson

Well we went, the grandson just turned 4 a couple weeks ago. Was not sure how he'd do, but he absolutely loved it. Each race he'd pick a car and say "grandpa, I want to be #5, can I be #5 grandpa, please" - yes buddy, you can be #5...

We watched race after race after race, what a good evening!

I've watched that video :text-yeahthat: a few times now, am I am just really impressed how the Bright kid came from the 6th starting spot, and went around the OUTSIDE of everyone in front of him to grab the lead. Course, Larson running into the lap car really helped, but I think another couple of laps, Bright would have been by Larson anyways. A great race to watch on video, must have been awesome to see live... :auto-checkeredflag:

I went to the Chili Bowl back in 2000 and it was truly a Holy Grail racing event for me. I can't wait to go again.
