AWESOME pictures!!!!
We were going to go there the last time we went down for the 4 wide Nationals at Z-Maxx (figuring that it would be easier to get in there than during a cup race weekend) - but unfortunately couldn't fit it in. :(
After seeing those pics - I NEED to make it a point to get there!
Thanks for sharing!

Love the pic of the Fabulous Hudson Hornet. I have one partly built sitting in front of me. The chassis is soldered and just needs a bit more work, then painting. I was debating whether to paint it blue like Doc Hudson in Cars, or the black with white top like Marshal Teague's. I think your pic made up my mind. Is the top white, or a creamy colour?

If you want to see the NASCAR Hall of Fame, you probably shouldn't wait too long. I think its future is up in the air and not too bright. Attendance has never come close expectations, and there has been a lot of discussion about what to do in the future. Financially, it is a drain on Charlotte and Mecklenburg County.

Nice pictures. Not sure if it was called the hall of fame, but I remember visiting the track and museum in the early 90s. Looks like they've gotten some more cars since then.

This facility was only built two or three years ago. Of course the city and county were dragged into the deal on promises of over whelming tourism as a result of NASCAR's popularity. But, the numbers promised were never accurate and it has turned into a real drag for tax payers money.

So it must have been an older facility that I visited.
