Seriously? Does anyone besides Rob watch this drivel? Really, we Americans are NOT all like what you are seeing on your TV. Most of us have jobs, teeth, 5 or more words in our vocabulary...

Hey y'all, if you're looking for a more sophisticated show to watch, dial up "Duck Dynasty".
If Phil Robertson was running for President of the United States, I'd vote for him!

....I think you guys are a bit of a tough audience!!!!
We are addicted to this stuff now...
Last night after Gator Boys they had Swamp People back to back, a whole hour of Florida Gator stuff (I think Florida might be my pick of the US states to live in now). :)
....Anyway what an episode! This old Gator hunter dude called "junior" shot his toothless son in the arm and face when a bullet ricocheted off the head of a Gator he was about to pop.
Oh man airboats, the weird recluse brothers that only eat squirrels, it was one of the best episodes yet.
Don't think junior likes his son much though, that's twice he has shot him now....

BS TV shows aside, you'd be a lot happier visiting Louisiana. There's alligators in the deep swamp way out near the salt that are 100 years old they say, and they might be right. Not to mention huge by comparison. And we invented VW-powered air boats (the little narrow ones that will fit through back bayous [l'aire bateaux]), after Earl Long (ever see a movie called Blaze?), visited the Everglades, so they say.
And after all, "They got Spanish moss a-hangin' from a tall oak tree-- Down the Mississippi down in New Orleans!"

Come to Colorado - all the thin air you can barely choke on, and some of the best Rocky Mtn. Oysters money can buy.
Lousy resin casting here though, I've been told...

Louisiana sounds like a plan Rob!
The only thing I find more interesting than alligators is HOMINIDS....
....Which state has the most BIGFOOT sightings????
H, I found a book one time at a book sale called "The History of the Lutheran Church in Missouri" (I still have it too), the point in this is that anywhere the Lutherans settled would have to be a bit er, "Vanilla" flavoured????
You guys probably aren't aware of it but you need something like Bigfoot wandering about those Ozarks out there....
....With these "high impact" TV shows out there nowadays, Route 66 and Mark Twain just aren't going to do it for the discerning (yet gullible :)) International traveler....
H, for the benefit of your home state, you NEED to be out there in a monkey suit, scaring the daylights out of unsuspecting travelers at 5.00am in the morning!!! No Swisher Sweets though when you are out and about, that just wont look authentic at all :)
David, I want to come to Colorado to see that underground city the government has built, mate can you swing a visit for me????

....Skookum
That' s the name of a shooting glove my (unbelieving) wife has....
They are known as Yowies here.
The debate continues to rage in our household over these mythical creatures and probably will do forever.
Yowies and Black Panthers, thats what you have to look out for in the bush....
Black Panthers are real though, bloody American "tourists" leaving their "pets" behind!
The story goes that American servicemen let their units mascots go into the bush at the end of WWII, Panthers being amongst them. Heaps of evidence to suggest that they are breeding up nicely and eating well on our Bilby's and suchlike :)

A panther left a hairball in my yard this summer. Spooky to find it so close to my back door.
Aren't there any native big cats in Australia?

Don't forget Bunyips Rob, I think thats another name for Yowie.
The Panther story is the same in WA. It's starting to get a bit of momentum here again. That is, some Visiting US soldiers in ww2 let a couple of Panther Mascots go out the bush and they took a foothold.
My favourite story is the one about drop bears,
A drop Bear is to a koala, like an apache gunship is to helicopters, a brutal killing machine.
Aparently during the war some Aussie Soldiers told the visiting US guys that when they were camped out in the bush, it wasn't the snakes and spiders they had to worry about, it was the drop bears.
The story goes that, these blokes fell for it and the rumors spread about these killer koalas and the poor old Americans spent most of their time looking up into the trees.
Maybe thats why they let the panthers go, to get rid of the drop bears
Theres a critter called the Tasmanian Tiger (thylacine) but they were all shot for their pelts, the last one supposedly died in a zoo in the 1930's or thereabouts. But that was more wolf like than Cat.
