Visiting our Uncle Tommy. This man is one of the most talented mechanics I have ever met. From custom Rat Rods to pure restorations.

His current project is a pair of T-Birds. One is close to completion and the quality of work is second to none.

The second one in back for himself, this one is for a client.

If I can't play with slot cars, this will do for awhile.

Very cool....my retirement dream car. Couldn't see if it had side vents, 55 or 56? Regardless, I want it!

love the metal work on those T-birds, it sure is amazing how they got all of those contours in such thick steel when compared to the steel used today.

I grew up in Auburn, IN. (northern Indiana) Every winter I would shovel snow for some of the neighbors to make a little money. One of my customers owned a new, 1956 Thunderbird - aqua blue, with white lift-off roof (the roof with the little, round, porthole window). It always took a lot longer to shovel the driveway than the front walk, and when I was done, there were always smudges on the garage windows. To this day, when I shovel snow I think of that car. A very nice restoration on a very nice car.

Love these cars and have since I first saw Suzanne Somers driving one as a kid.

Looks like a heck of a nice shop!
