Me too. I thought about an AT-6 I found in a field many years ago, beside a rubble pile of what had once been another AT-6, or maybe a Yale, it had been an over-the-wing exhaust. Harvards and Yales had that early on, and without an engine, I wasn't good enough to tell the difference. In 1965, I saw a gorgeous DH Beaver broken down in pieces in a field outside of London, Ontario, and I am thrilled to say somebody claimed it and as far as I know, it still flies today in Alaska. That experience as an early teen, makes me hopeful someone will do those old Vettes justice.
Sarge, you could act as a liaison between prospective Vette restorers and the owner of that place. Just go to one of the Vette restorer websites and make the connection. There are lots of folks who pay for finders, and the owner or his heirs might be thrilled to have an offer.
