Well, it's been a wild few weeks around here and finally things getting back to the "norm".

Build New oval- Check
Resurface road course - Check
Build new shelves and work area - Check
Install new lighting - Check
Repaint Skunkworks - Check
Make yard look like Augusta National...umm, well. Ok not there yet

Back to projects with many on the bench. RMS Resins, SRP, Strangebrew Coachworks, and other resin castings needing to be created.

Tuning Sideways Group 5, Carrera 917 Series, and some Scalextric Legends.

What about you folks? Any fun slot car plans/projects for the weekend?

Found a local group to join and enjoy racing with. They race the 1/24 lexan body cars with the 40k motors. This should be interesting for I am already thinking about printing up a different chassis and slipping it under a Boss 429 body. Looks like some fast company there where they are turning 5-6 second laps on a 130 foot track. Should be interesting to say the least. Then it will be trying to get as much done next week that I can do before going back to work after next week.

Still working on the new work shop , but it is getting there.
Set up a build table and also a soldering table. Organised the closet for my builds
Book shelves are becoming display shelves. Even got my old stereo out for some tunes
while I work. And I will be spending the weekend trying to get it done.
Then on to the basement and hope the thaw soon stops so I can make repairs and get my oval set up.

My teacher wife is currently on spring break so we were gone for much of the week. We camped at some beautiful seaside placesand hiked some fantastic trails. We just arrived home yesterday. After watching some Youtube videos of the 2016 Trans Am Race at Sebring, I am motivated to build a fire breathing Corvette replica of Trans Am TA class Corvette. To that end, I ordered an SCX Corvette C6R body from Ebay. I have a couple of cases of SCX Pro Porsche slot cars that I bought awhile back on fire sale which will provide the rolling chassis for the project. I expect to get started on that project today.

TGIF Indeed!

Tonight we get to test out Luf's newest iteration of the Targa. The track is all cut out, routed and taped and Luf has started to fill in the gaps with screening before the scenery. We should all be somewhat equal tonight on the new track, and I'm sure there will be cars on the floor as we learn the new turns. Luf has been posting pics and video as he goes along in the thread "Time for a new Targa".

We have the Last Open Road proxy from SCI to run on the 23rd, and the Carrera Panamericana cars are en route, so we will be busy with those in the next few weeks.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Keith
