Weird and Wonderful cars of the '500'

Ran into this article by Marshall Pruett that I found as I am going to 100th running this year.
It is interesting to see all the cars and designs that have gone by. Especially in part two of this article about one Mr. Yunick's racers.

It is a great read.

Makes me wish we had more in 1/32 for this great event/series.

Yep, totally agree with that. Wouldn't the 1978 EAGLE-AMC make a brilliant slot for starters?

Thanks for the article. When I was a kid, I used to look forward to the Indy 500 more than any other sporting event. It is such a shame to see it as nothing more than a shadow of what it was was.
