44 years!

In the middle of restoring my car's wiring after the fire, and with all the rest of life going on, today is our anniversary. Incredibly, we have been married 44 years. I don't know what to say. I never thought I would live past 30 or so, and at 65 years old, we have been married 44 years as of 2pm today. Wow. Around 7pm Central time 44 years ago, we were at the Catfish Cabin, Grenada, MS, headed for the Gulf Coast. Incredible.

Thank you all very much. I made pan fried catfish, fries and hushpuppies last night as a surprise. Barbara came in the house from next door and smelled it. It couldn't have been more perfect. I couldn't have been more pleased if I was twins.

April is expensive around here. My youngest son's birthday is the 14th, mine is the 20th (65 this year!), our anniversary is the 22nd, Barbara's birthday is the 28th, and IRS, state and county property taxes all come in April, too.
