Hang in there. Having half your heart out of rhythm is not fun. Been there many times in the last 12 years. It takes me days to get moving again.

Been there, done that! Actually we have a specialized A-Fib clinic here, and after a number of tests they decided it was better to let it continue than try to zap it back into rhythm. The meds didn't work for me. So I have been living with it for years, and rarely notice.
Good to hear your meds are working, get well soon.

Parallel lives on HRW again. Not only our little "funky pump" club, but Keith, the meds' side effects made them useless for me, too.
I always maintain that my funky heartbeat episodes are the result of all that jazz syncopation I listened to.

The good thing is that people have been known to live to 100 with chronic A-Fib.

Seriously, was glad to hear you were doing better. Those of us in the "Dicky Ticker Club" can't afford to lose any members. Take care.

They did an unnecessary ablation on me in late 2001. Didn't work- it made me much more liable to go funky with any exertion. It took years to grow out of it. When I moved away from the incompetents in that small town, real Drs here helped me a lot. By 2009, an episode was rare, then almost never, and I don't remember how long its been now.

I'm familiar with what you're going through. I battled it for last 4 months after having to change my medication, which kept it under control for 10 years. Had a stent put in and my medication for the a-fib could cause sudden death!! Tried a couple other meds, but they slowed my heart beat to much. Had an ablation 2 months ago and haven't had an episode since.

Feel better, Dave. I'm glad that the meds are working for you. Now it's time to get back to "jalopy therapy" ...........! :music-rockout:
I still need to have you build the "Big O" for me....................
