Racing and how to get banned from a track...

So, I'm a basement racer. I make it look easy on my track. I can beat anyone with one of my cars on a track I've done millions of laps on.

Take me to another track however, and I look like your drunk Uncle Mort on Thanksgiving that has never handled a slot car.

I managed to visit the great guys there again and race on Steve's awesome track using one of his well-tuned Slot.it 962's. After the past few trips to Minnesota to race on Steve's (racer1h) fantastic track, I think I stumbled on how to be banned: drive like an idiot.

In my defense, I had Gameover in the next lane talking epic amounts of smack - everything from questioning my ancestory, to discussing my similarities to a Dwarf, how I hold the controller, breathe and pretty much everything else in-between. It was so bad that I was actually punching him in the shoulder after one of my excursions.

I managed to knock over my own gravestone that Steve has installed on his track to memorialize my first off-the-table landing I executed on my first trip there. That was not the worst though. I actually came on to the straight alongside Gameover and managed to get just enough sideways at a high enough speed that I took out the entire timing gantry. I didn't just hit it...I HIT it. Imagine little 1:32 people being propelled by an explosion across the track, cars flying everywhere, other drivers doubled over in laughter and tears...well, that still doesn't really describe it. Fortunately, there was still a little paint left on my borrowed 962, the people were put back (except for the one that we missed that caused another massive de-slot on the next lap when the guy was flat-out run over...adding to more laughter, tears, and harassment) and the race continued.

I had a great time with Brian, Brian2, Chris, Steve and Steve2. I know they probably will be adding rubber walls to the track and asking me to bring my own cars next time, but you guys are all aces in my book. Thanks for hosting the World's Worst Driver again!

Everything he said is true...but the racing was great. lots of door to door racing. Can't beat it - we'll do it again.

Well well well.... Doc is a very violent little man. I was minding my own business kicking his butt and lapping him. He resorted to violence and beating me up. Good thing im a big guy with lots of padding :).

Our H.O. club used to have a "Lumberjack" award for the guy who hit the most trees (When our tracks mostly had a few fake trees for scenery.) We also had the "Thomas Edison Trophy" for the driver who hooked his controller wires up backwards. Lastly, we had the "Sherwin Williams award" for the guy who forgot what lane he was in. put the wrong lane tape on the car, or called out the wrong color when he deslotted. At one race, all three awards went to the same guy. No names will be mentioned, to protect the not so innocent.

It sounds like you guys have almost as much fun as we did with the H.O. club.

p.s. It's even funnier if, when somebody knocks over a fake tree, everybody starts singing the "Lumberjack Song" from Monty Python. :lol: I think the wives are starting to wonder about us, though...

Well, as far as you know, anyway. You see, this is a conflagration of dual gracenitien in that you are from so high up in Colorado that the air is thin, making an altitude problem, and they are from the arctic north, the frozen tundra, home of ice fishing- in ice holes, and that is a classic conflict of ice holes and a bad altitude problem. You were helpless in that situation, no matter what kind of ice hole you may be...
