Where im at right now...NOT my favorite place!

Folks, Its been way to long since I had much if any involvement in our fun hobby. There are a lot of folks wondering what my situation is, so I thought I would catch up those that want to know.
So far, I am still having a ton of trouble with my medications. The Doctors keep changing them up for whatever reason, and I have basically the same side effects from all of them. My eyesight is very blurry most of the time, I can not look at PC screens for more than a few minutes at a time. I have three or four halfway good days , then a few in a row that I cant get my tired butt out of a chair for some reason?
All the tests I have had, and there are a bunch of them, don't show anything yet, so I have no answers for these conditions.
I know it sucks feeling like this, and its a crap shoot everyday I get up. I have been working on some larger scale projects just to try and keep my mind and body busy. Working on small slot cars is out right now, with this bad eyesight,and for some reason I am very shaky most of the time.
I don't know where all this is going, and I hope it clears up soon. I miss being on the board, I miss chatting with my friends, and I damn sure miss building and racing the cars!
If all this wasn't enough, My Dad has been diagnosed with lung cancer, and it is the kind that spreads rapidly. My Mom is a wreck, and they are having some difficulty with Medicare not covering some of his treatments, and the twenty percent co-pay on some of them is enough to run them in the poor house.
Not trying to be a downer here, just letting my friends know whats going on in my weird world right now.
Just as soon as I can see some improvement, I will be back here bugging the crap out of all of you!

Keep em in the slots guys, and thanks for all the kind words I have been getting behind the scenes so to speak.

I've been worried, too. I stopped IM -ing because I thought you wouldn't feel like answering and I see now you would have been miserable trying to read or write that kind of stuff.

If it helps any, I went through the same stuff with my meds after my heart trouble- every single thing you describe. It does get better. You have to stick it out to find the right way, and it could be tomorrow or a couple of months, you just have to stick it out. Be the tough guy you are. You need to be strong for your mother. Sudden bad news is the worst.

Thanks for the update, Bob; doesn't sound very good, for sure, but it's helpful to know how you're doing. We all hope that your back firing on all cylinders soon. in the meantime, you are sorely missed here on the HRW board.

The older we get the less fun it is sometimes........
Just got back from my car club meeting & listened to a buddy tell me about his heart attack, prostate cancer, thyroid cancer,
back surgery & shoulder replacement.
But he just got his beautiful 38 Chevy sedan back on the road after a complete rebuild. So................hang in there.

Thinking of you for awhile now pal . I've been checking on you through Shotgun and have also left you alone until I hear you are feeling better enough to jaw for a few minutes . I will keep you and your family in my prayers and let you know that you can get in touch with me anytime you feel like shootin the breeze . I also went through what you are experiencing right now with your health and did beat it almost 4yrs now . Get healthy pal .
