Old Documentary on Amazon Video

It's called "The Racing Scene", done by James Garner in 1969 (?). Pretty good footage of the AIR Lolas at Daytona and Sebring plus the Baja and Formula A. I had never seen it before, lots of (very young) familiar faces. As long as you can tolerate the corny docu-jazz it's a pretty good watch.

Went back and watched the Sebring portion again. Those derelict C-82s gave me an idea for some scenery for my track!
What year did they cease using the LeMans start?

Yes, it looks like it is free to Prime members, about $3 to the rest of us. I'll check youtube.
I don't think it was outdated either, but the safety concerns were/are valid as drivers wouldn't buckle-up either at all or until on the Mulsanne.
There was one year back in the 24 hour's infancy where drivers started next to their cars and were required to run across the track, pick up their hoods, and then reattach them before they started racing. That must have been a sight!

We have a new definition for insanity. "pick up their hoods"? Aaaauugh!
