That huge storm you guys sent here is on top of us! I'm watching clouds of steam rising off my roof and getting swept away by 60mph wind. Car damaging hail, all kinds of bad news. It too hot for a tornado, thank goodness.

91 degrees, mostly sunny with a no breeze on the west side of Virginia.

Well, the first wave has blasted by us, so far so good. Temp dropped 30 degrees. Only one limb (3 inch diameter) came down, and the hail went south of us. There will be bargains at the Petersburg car lots for hail damaged cars. It was the size of a quarter, according to NWS.

Once, in Dallas, I saw hail the size of big softballs, with quarter sized hail stones stuck all over the sides. But they were soft, and they shattered on impact, mostly. I did see a six inch limb smacked clean off an oak in that storm.

We've been lucky so far; most of the heavy storms hitting you guys are mostly only coming as far South as the Raleigh area and we're just getting the fringe pop-up storms (he said, firmly knocking wood with his fingers crossed :whistle: ).

The hail and wind are here in Annapolis.
I have some large Pin Oak trees that almost went over in the last good blow.
I'll see in the morning.

hope you faired the storm, we lost a tree in the front, still have not found the dogs water bucket

We did pretty well. Some folks further in town lost trees, got cars mushed, etc. We just dropped some limbs and the hail went around us.

I just don't understand this weather, when it passes through here in California it is pleasant and dry. Something must be happening when it goes over the Rockies. I'm not blaming anyone but just saying. Hope every thing works out back there.
