For those in the know this is the time of year for the Woodward Dream Cruise. :banana-dance: This year in Pontiac they shut down a portion of Woodward, resurfaced a 1/4 mile of road and opened a 1/8 mile dragstrip. (can't imagine the insurance involved :o ) My brother was there with his Tesla S and our friend was there with his Tesla X. It has Ludicrous mode (twin motors, 0-60 3.3 sec ). As the link shows a lot of people were surprised by them however neither of them made it into the finals. It was interesting for the 1st year doing this. My brother also bought one of the car condos in the M-1 Concourse (with it's own 1 1/2 mile road course). (see 2nd link) Weather was a factor as rain interrupted the racing a few times but it was a great time.

This is one of the largest car enthusiast get together in the United Sates and I'm surprised by the lack of views/comments. I guess if they drove in a circle it would generate more interest. :naughty:

Haven't been to the Dream Cruise in a couple years - but WOW! That is cool!
For anyone who hasn't had the pleasure - it is definitely a GREAT event to put on the bucket list! :D

What an event I really can't believe they were able to pull that off. It was cool seeing something like that happening here.
