M-1 Concourse Track Video

M-1 Concourse is in Pontiac Michigan and is a 1 1/2 mile road course (1/3 mile straight) with nothing but car condos along its length. The condos are basically a garage with an upper loft at the front of the garage to view the track. No living allowed. Today I went to owners track day (My bro in law, not me). The track officially opened last month for owners. Construction is still continuing on the car condos. Retail/clubhouse/restaurant slated for next year.
The car they chose for their beater track car is a 2004 VW R32. Motor is currently stock, suspension is set up for competition. The tires are currently stock but is hoping to wear them out soon to be replaced by racing tires. After being in the car it won't take too long. Next year is slated for the roll bar, cams and exhaust. They didn't want to get to costly since this is just a fun car, no competition. He was hitting 95 in the straights and running 1.30 lap times. I think the M-1 concourse track cars are running about 130 with times in the low teens. There was a Porsche 918 on the track today just tearing it up. Couldn't believe it.
So the vid is one complete lap starting at the straight and ending there. Like a dumb a** I didn't check the batteries before we left and it went dead but at least I got 1 lap.. :banana-dance: He had a go pro camera set up on the car. I'm sure his video will be far superior to mine.
