I thought this might be a fun little topic on what you plan on doing with slots in the upcoming year. I am planning on buying less cars and more parts and really getting down to tuning what I have already. I also would really like to thin out what I have and only have classics and T/A cars. There are some repaints I have planned that I really want to do. With that said, I spent the day yesterday cleaning up my work area and my bench. I wanted to dedicate a side of the bench for tuning cars which I was able to do. I have my soldering station, Tire Razor, Alcohol bath, small parts bin with SCC drivers and Razor gear puller on top. Let the tuning begin.

That looks great. Ours will look the same even if I try and clean it. Organized madness I like to say.
Great post!
Same sort of direction for me. Still tuning the older cars I have stored in drawers that deserve to come back.
Some team car efforts that have sat too long will get done. Classic NASCAR and SCCA types that we are enjoying.
Just having fun :)

Lee - the bench looks CLEAN! Let me know what you are selling ;)
As for this year's resolutions - I plan on getting more scenery done on my track, releasing some new kits, and re-releasing a few old ones. I also plan on being selective with my purchases and continue to tune what I've got.

I plan on building more cars in 1\24-1\25 scale, doing some more scenery and building a wood track

I'm so far behind since the last 6 months, I don't know where to start. One thing that always gets me started is cleaning up the area. So, that will be the first thing, after that, I'm going to wing it!

I'd like to try building a plaster-surfaced hillcllimb track.
Finish some more resins, and try some repaints.
New chassis for some terrible running cars.

I plan on building myself a work station.
Tuning the cars I have.
Building a trailer towing vehicle.
Getting a Ninco classic vette or Porsche.
Building movable scenery as I have a fold up track.
Beating Bibbster in at least one race!
Making another trek to HRW headquarters.

Simple resolution for me. Actually finish some stuff! Too many half finished projects including the track. Oh and find some room for a rally track. :)

The last 3-4 months I've been drowning in house restoration, restoring the living room and kitchen, doing all of it myself, except for the electrical work, so my hobby has been totally neglected during this period. But now when the house restoration is beginning to end, and I've goten more spare time and a few days off in the xmas, then the itch, or urge, is still here and I find myself browsing the forums again and planning for the next track... It's like a madness, you can hide from it for a while, but never get cured...
But... What I want my hobby resolutions to be is probably not what I need them to be... I want it to be buying more cars and building more tracks, but the truth is that I aleady have too many tracks and too many cars, and I'm not really using any of them as much as I like to think, at least not to justify the time, money and space it consumes.
Chef's have a word for boiling the water out of a sauce to consentrate the taste, and I think I'm looking for a definition of that word, in slot form. Defining that word will be my first slotcar resolution, then try to live by it, at least for a couple months, until the car buying madness takes over again
Have a Happy new Year :banana-rock:

I think the chef's word you're looking for is "reduction". I need to finish off the projects I've started, and continue to look for that darned 959 Porsche. I know I'll find it, it's just a matter of time. :)

Concentate on Classic 60s and 70's F1 cars, Aussie Muscle and Trans Am Cars. ( And Maybe the Odd Classic Sports or ............ anything else I even remotely like..)
Well I'll try not to buy any more V8's or Nascars ( Unless of course they take my fancy)
Actually I have no plan, I've got no willpower and I'm a lost cause.
Although I will (try and) get more scratchbuilts and kits done. Also I might actually try and get around to re- motoring / re -tyring the stuff I already have.
Or I might just go and have a beer and make resolutions that I can't keep, regarding finishing off the kitchen renovation!!!!

Well...I did not last long. Grabbed another Cobra for a future repaint. I was getting some parts, it was there...and ended up in my cart.
I feel like Kramer from the "The Contest" episode.
