My son wanted to visit a spot that we haven't been to in years. During heavy rains its flooded of course, but when things recede...we have a great little Bass hideaway.



The reason it isn't visited often is that you need a good 4WD sometimes to get there. Even a not so great 4WD like a Chevy (It's no superior Tacoma :) ) will work in a pinch. :doh:

Anyway the view is priceless...









Water is pretty clear and not a heavy current. The Bass are easily seen (which means they see you). But with our superior skills :liar: they are no match for us.



My son shows a smaller prize. Mine of course were at least twice that. :whistle:

Anyway a fun evening in the heart of the Ozarks.

Harry that is great. My daughter and i fish together, and now my grandsons are into it as well. Such a great way to spend some good quality time with family . We also have our favourite fishing holes and usually tie it in with a good old shpre lunch and camping trip. Well done Family Wise.

My favorite fishing hole is on the Ohio river by the Marklin dam. I caught a catfish there one time that was so big we didn't have a scale big enough to weigh it, so we took a picture of it and the picture weighed 8 pounds. :D

Some of the best times are fishing with family!
Harry, you have to try Largemouth fishing in the Fla. Everglades. This is from our last March trip. Non-stop action with avg fish 3lbs. We got a few 8lbs too.

I know the first liar in this crowd doesn't stand a chance, somebody will top it. :lol:

I'm expecting someone to tell the one where the guy was talking to his buddy's about their fishing trips.

The first guys says he caught a five pound blue gill.

The second guy knowing he couldn't top that said he didn't catch anything but as he was reeling in his line he suddenly hooked something really big. When he got it to the dock he realized that it was the Coleman lantern that he knocked off the dock and into the water the year before and you ain't going to believe this but it was still lit.

The first guy thought about that and said, I'll make you deal. I'll take three pounds off that blue gill if you'll blow out that lantern. :lol:
