photobucket sent an eMail a few weeks ago, with a survey about their latest changes.
as i was really angry, i filled out the whole survey. at one point you had the chance to tell that what it would be worth to get "3rd party image hosting"
at the end there was the promise to get a reply ..

this week came the next eMail - with an offer.
hosting for 20$ a year.
just the amount i specified in the survey.

so, at least the old images should be back by now.
sadly postimage changed from ".org" to ".cc" so the image in the meantime will not show ...

let´s see how long this will work ...

I am good with Photobucket until the end of the year. If the $20 deal is still in effect I may go with that or I might just use direct links. I have stopped using Photobucket for new pictures. Some of my pictures are on Flickr, I understand that someone bought Flickr, so the deal with that may change. If you are using postimage you may be able to edit the BB code to change .org to .cc.

Or you could just ask me for an account for our own photo hosting site.

thanks for the offer, Harry!

i´ve been using photobucket for years now.
especially on the german Carrera Go!forum, there are still old posts in the how-to-section that get viewed from time to time and with photobuckte gone bezerk, no picture showed up. As the interest in 1/43rd is quite good right now in Germany, the old posts get viewed. With getting the deal from PB, the OLD pictures show up and work.

for new pictures, an account here may seems to be a good idea :D
