New forum request!

Had another crazy idea come to mind. (no surprise to those that know me), But I thought, hey, wouldn't it be fun to have a forum for the Orphan slot cars?. I talking about the odd ball scales, and just off the mark bodies that have been produced over the decades. I know most of this would be covered under vintage slot cars, but that's for the really cool stuff we all had/have back then. What I propose, is for the Marx, Gilbert, Sears, Monkey wards, etc , etc,. I have a love for these old carpet warriors, and I love making them into runnable raceable slot cars. I know I might be the only one, so this idea might be a really bad one. But I put it out there for a vote to request such a separate forum. I have a slew of Marx cars, not just converted friction cars, but slot cars that I have modernized to be competitive racers. Im fairly sure there are others who have done this????. It would be a great place to showcase some of these "specials." A couple of years back, I took four of my Marx indy cars to Harry's, we had a blast running them, and I still race them often.
Some fun facts;
Did you know that Marx made possibly the only 1961 Ferarri 268? or how bout their 1961 Maserati Tipo? A whole series of sports and formula cars are available still, as well as 4 different Indy cars, and pretty cheap too!
Their whole line up sold in 1963-64, was based on famous racers from 2 years prior. Just a crazy thought, but a fun one to my thinking. and a challenge to those who have some old bodies that would never get built otherwise.
